You've got Q's, I've got the A's! Here are some questions people ask most!

  • Q: How long does a typical program run? 
  • A: All of our programs regardless of whether they are for a private event or school etc., lasts approximately 45-60 mins. If you require more time, let us know! We can do multiple shows or even an animal display!

  • Q: How much does a program cost?
  • A: Program prices vary depending on your location and program chosen, however prices typically range anywhere from $300-$425. Discounts given for having multiple programs on the same day and the same location.

  • Q: What animals attend?
  • A: Depending on your program of choice and animals we currently have rescued, specific species vary. But in a typical program you'll recieve 5-7 reptiles, fish, and/or amphibians. 

  • Q: Do I come to you? Or do you come to me? What is your general service area?
  • A: We travel to YOU!  We unfortunately do not have a place for visitors to come, but we bring the zoo to you! Our travel zone is almost anywhere in NJ, NY, PA, and CT within a 2 hour radius of our location in Northwestern New Jersey.

  • Q: What do I need to provide for the program?
  • A: Typically the only thing we ask of you is some sort of table to set up on. We like to keep the animals carrying enclosures up off the ground for their safety and comfort and our ability to handle them easily. So, really any table(s) you have will work, a lot of people provide us with a folding table of about 4-6 ft. But we arrive early to set up (about 15-30 mins prior to start time), so we can take care of it then if need be!

  • Q: Can my program be outside? Does it have to be inside?
  • A: Programs can be outside, but of course it is weather and temperature dependent.  Since most of our programs include reptiles, the temperature needs to be at or above 70 degrees Fahrenheit for their health and safety. And of course if you plan to be outside, consider having an indoor space available for back up or a tent in case of inclement weather.

  • Q: Are the programs safe?
  • A: Absolutely! The safety and comfort of our audiences and animals is of the utmost importance to us! During your program, animals will be handled by the  instructor only and if touching animals is included in your show, we handle the animals safely so no one is ever in danger of injury or bites.

  • Q: Is Snakes-n-Scales, LLC insured?
  • A: YES! So, if your organization or school requires a Certificate of Insurance, be sure to let us know and request this at the time of booking. 

  • Q: What if the weather is bad or I have to cancel due to illness?
  • A: Things you can't control aren't held against you! If you need to reschedule due to illness, contact us ASAP and we can help get you rescheduled (depending on our availability). If weather isn't cooperating, we can help with that too.  Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all reschedules and we cannot hold spots for"Rain Dates", but we do our best! First come, first served!

  • Q: When do I pay for the program?
  • A: Depending on how far in advance you book your program, you may be asked for a deposit of $100 (paid via PayPal). If you pay a deposit for your program, Erin can explain the process at the time of booking, however not all customers are asked for a deposit (i.e. schools and libraries are not required to pay a deposit). Remaining balances or full amounts can be paid on the day of the program either by cash or check. We are working on a system to also accept credit cards! We'll let you know if that's available at your time of booking.
