Speaking to teens requires an understanding, both of subject matter and audience, not generally found in educators and entertainers who speak to younger children.

The information must be more in depth and mature and the attitude of the instructor must be on a more equal footing with the audience. The instructor must also have a background to handle probing questions, while pointing out both points of interest and relevant scientific processes.

Snakes-N-Scales instructors are very comfortable with upper grade children and our program choices are dramatically different from the run-of-the-mill.

These programs are designed for the teen audience, in both topic and presentation. The general audience programs may also be appropriately altered for this audience. Same name presentations as general audience shows will not contain exactly the same material.

This show brings the biggest reptiles in any show within 100 miles, truly our WOW show.
It also usually brings our herpetologist, and founder
Bill
Boesenberg
himself to your event. The “WOW” can come from watching  a nearly 100 lb America Alligator, “Blue,” sit in Bill’s lap, like a great black puppy; or from a 6 ft Water Monitor Lizard, “Elizardbeth,” hangout and sniff the air with her foot long tongue, while everyone laughs at the story of how she came to us; or you might be “Wowed” by getting to touch the gentle beautiful giant, “Hernia,” a 100 lb Burmese Python.

Everyone will learn and be amazed with a combination of humor,
awe and compassion for creatures, to which few, ever get close.

Topics covered include portions of zoology, classification, environmental science, evolution, physiology, animal psychology and animal training and handling. Always performed with our brand of comedy and animals' perspective.

the Alligator, the Wolf and a few surprises;

all go fang to fang in a comedic verbal game of

“my predator is better than yours,”

Herpetologist Bill Boesenberg,

"Presssident" of

Snakes-N-Scales,

and Animal Expert Travis Gale,

owner of Eyes of the Wild.

and find out which predator is the most successful, which is the most resourceful, the largest, the fastest, the smartest, which is the most dangerous to us and which are we the most dangerous to. Look through the animals’ eyes,as Travis and Bill use their years of experience to give the audience unique and unusual points of view. Learn about the predators habits and habitats, their ecology and their personalities, all while enjoying these two entertainers’ antics and skill.

ANACONDA, ALLIGATOR, MONITOR LIZARD, TARANTULA, SCORPION, SNAPPING TURTLE AND BURMESE PYTHON
These are the animals we love to hate. TV, movies, bedtime stories and even children’s nursery rhymes use these animals as monsters and villains, but are they really that bad? Movie monsters are almost always based on living creatures. The incredible effects of modern film make the monster seem more real than the animals they were made from! Meet these and other “reprehensible” creatures in your classroom and learn for yourself.

This show can be done with large or medium sized animals.

All predators evolved adaptations to maximize their chances of catching prey, these adaptations are sometimes called strategies. (Though the animals didn’t think them up!) The variety of strategies is mind blowing; ambushing, stalking/tracking, envenomation, constriction, drowning, overpowering, and the list goes on. This program uses representative reptiles and amphibians to illustrate the fascinating interplay of behavior, physiology, experience and preference used to catch a meal.

This show can be done with large or medium sized animals.
