Snakes-N-Scales is an unique organization in many ways, but not least in our ability to serve multiple audiences. Unlike others, our background is herpetology, so we can speak, as experts, on an adult level, and with authority. The following presentations may share a similar name or topic with programs for younger audiences, but those offered in this section will be presented for adults, with adult themes, requiring adult thought processes. Children are NOT permitted in these programs. |
![]() Predators have been feared and loathed in most societies for nearly all of human history. Part of the animosity stems from their competition with us, and part of it comes from the possibility of them preying on us. Even smaller predators were hated for stealing from our traps or destroying our livestock. Our ultra-modern society has moved passed the trapper and even the farmer, but our need to fear the predators lives on in arguments over wolves in the lower 48, alligators on our golf courses, snapping turtles digging in out begonia beds, foxes eating our stray cats and pythons loose in the Everglades. This show looks at the reptilian and mammalian predators in the cold light of science fact while still injecting humor and irony to keep everyone happily following along. Included in this show is a 6.5 ft American Alligator, Fenec Fox, Snapping Turtle, Domestic ferret, Asian Water Monitor, Coatimundi, a 100 lb Burmese Python and a juvenile North American Grey Wolf, Black Variant. This program is presented by Snakes-N-Scales founder and Herpetologist Bill Boesenberg And Eyes Of The Wild owner and mammal expert Travis Gale. These two men have dedicated their lives to the preservation of these animals through the education of people. They are also expert presenters that will not disappoint, with a wealth of accurate information and ironic quick witted entertainment. As our world shrinks around us, through habitat use and misuse, it is vital that we understand the predators as they are, not as we would like to imagine them. For it is the predators that balance the ecosystem of the Earth, and it will be us, the Master Predator, that decides their fate. This show goes anywhere in NJ, NYC, Southern NY state, Delaware Valley PA, DE and CT, for $1500 |
