Baby Animal Party
Everyone Loves a Baby Animal Party!
Do your kids love baby animals? If they do, this is the reptile party show for you…BUT!! Remember that this is a Snakes-N-Scales’ Baby Animal Party.
And we’re going to bring a few adults too, so you can see the HUGE difference!
REPTILES ATTENDING THE BABY ANIMAL PARTY
This show changes as animals grow up and we acquire new young ones, so be sure to ask what we currently have as a baby when you book.
Don’t quite understand what this is? This is a baby Red Eared Slider sitting on the back of its mother.
Now do you get it? This is why we don’t recommend that you buy a baby Red eared Slider, even if you think you’re saving its life, because some day this is what will happen…then what? As far as pets go it is possible to choose a worse pet than a Red Eared Slider, but if exclude anything that could be dangerous or too large, then the slider gets really close to the top of the list. They can be too aggressive for children to handle and by the time they get to be as big as the one in the photo, they need about 50 gallons of water to live in, a pond filter all to themselves and an adult just to lift it. This turtle is no more a child’s pet than a fox or a raccoon. Let the Baby Animal Party help you find the right baby pet for your kids.
Snapping Turtles have big mouths even when young. Each year we get calls from people that have Snapping Turtles on their lawns. They are generally very concerned as their isn’t any water for quite a distance, sometimes for miles, and they don’t want the “lost” turtle to die. Snapping Turtles can walk for miles from water, and often do. The females need a find spot that is about the flood line to lay her eggs and our construction of homes and roads often confuses and confounds them. Then when the eggs hatch people are concerned that the baby turtles will not make it to the water, but the babies can be handled pretty safely at that age, so they can just be transported to the closest water area.
The Arizona Mountain Kingsnake is one of the most attractive non-venomous snakes.
The American Alligator is one of the few reptiles that raises its young for up to a year or more. Gators are a rare reptile in that they have family!
Western Hognose Snake, the “cute” snake. And perhaps the only one. Certainly they are a babies!
Our Leopard Tortoise young ones are mini tanks! (If tanks ate greens and we shy.)
A little giant, a baby Burmese Python that fits in two hands easily will someday need a few people to carry it!
As always this show will both entertain and educate everyone. We’ll talk about how the little ones make it in this big world and what they are like as adults. Many, but not all, of these animals can be touched. (And we cannot guarantee any specific animal, babies are harder to keep.)
Our babies come from many different places. Many are just unwanted pets from people, some were born with us and a few were foundlings in bad situations.
